What is pellet?
Pellet is a revolutionary, high-calorie, renewable biofuel produced by technologically processing the turning chips, i.e. sawdust that remains after processing wood, and whose humidity is initially reduced to a certain percentage, by drying and pressing it with special presses. The wood, which is dried and crushed enough, then passes through a pellet, which completely grinds the parts of the wood and pushes it into the matrix. Under the influence of temperature and pressure, a lignin, which is a natural binder, is released and it forms a recognizable pellet shape. No binders, chemicals or additives are added to beech pellets during the process of making, since the lignin binds the pellet naturally. The best raw material for making the pellets is beech, and we make the pellets only from beech!
The amount of moisture in the pellet is 8%, which enables it to achieve high efficiency during the burning process. Moisture control, i.e. attaining the moisture level in the raw material used to make the pellets is a very important item in order to get a quality pellet. Firewood, wood from forest waste, sawdust, turning chips, as well as other scrap obtained from wood processing can be used as a raw material for making the pellets.
Pellet is cylindrical in shape, about 6 mm in diameter and between 10 and 30 mm in length, making it suitable for transport and easy to fill the furnace firebox that you use to heat your home or work space. The beech pellets are sold in 15 kg and 1030 kg bags, and for one heating season the average house consumes 5 to 6 tons of pellets for heating.
